Guelph teens charged for online threats, bringing pellet gun to victim’s home

Two boys from Guelph are facing weapons charges after police were called to an east-end neighbourhood.

Police responded to a house near Starwood Drive and Grange Road around 12:15 a.m. Sunday. A teenager said he had been threatened on social media and then five other teens had shown up at his home with weapons.

When officers arrived on scene, the suspects fled. Investigators pulled over a pickup truck nearby and found a black pellet gun between the front seats.

A 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy were charged with possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, uttering threats and prowling near a dwelling.
