An electric guitar and amplifier were stolen after a Mount Forest music school was broken into early Monday morning.
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said in a release that they were called to a reported break-in and theft at a business on Main Street South at around 8 a.m.
After initial investigation, OPP said an unknown suspect shattered the lower pane of glass on the business’ front door and went inside. The suspect ransacked the inside, and took the guitar and amplifier before leaving and going northbound on Main Street South.
The same picture of the shattered front door released by OPP was posted on a public Facebook group, with the poster identifying the business to be the Drayton School of Music.
Police believe the items stolen cost around $350. They said they don’t have an estimate for the cost of damage.
The OPP said the suspect is believed to be a man, who was dressed in black and wearing a backpack, which the stolen electric guitar may have been sticking out from.
Wellington County OPP are asking anyone with information or video of the incident to call them at 1-888-310-1122.
