A Kitchener man has been charged with multiple offences after a suspected hate-motivated incident in Cambridge. Police said officers responded to reports of multiple assaults at approximately 4:10 p.m. on Sunday. “Through the investigation, officers learned that an unknown male had confronted two individuals and assaulted them,” police said in a media release. “The victims sustained minor physical injuries and did not require further medical treatment.” Officers arrested a 36-year-old man in connection with the incident. He has been charged with assault and assault with a weapon. Police said the investigation remains ongoing and is being treated as a suspected hate-motivated incident.
