Kitchener man charged in nationwide child pornography investigation

A man from Kitchener has been arrested as part of a nationwide child pornography initiative known as Project Steel.

The Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) said they launched an investigation in February, leading up to Wednesday’s arrest.

A 44-year-old Kitchener man, who has not been named, was charged with making child pornography accessible and possession of child pornography.

Previously, WRPS said they completed five search warrants, seized 31 devices, arrested three men and laid 18 criminal charges as part of Project Steel.
