Man charged after ‘several’ vehicles damaged, officer kicked in Cambridge

A Cambridge man is facing weapons and assault charges following a weapons-related call on Sunday.

Waterloo Regional Police said someone reported a man slashing the tires of several vehicles in a parking lot at Hespeler Road and Dundas Street North.

During his arrest, police found a foldable knife. The suspect also allegedly kicked one of the arresting officers.

A total of three vehicles had damage to their tires.

A 30-year-old man was charged with three counts of mischief under $5,000, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and assault of a peace officer.
