Emergency responders dealt with a fire along King Street South in Waterloo. The Waterloo Regional Police Service said the busy street was closed between John Street and Allen Street around 5:13 p.m. Thursday. Police confirmed the fire started around 4:30 p.m. on the balcony of a residential building. They said the fire was accidental and no one was hurt. The road reopened around 5:37 p.m.
