Waterloo Regional Police are investigating after a firearm was brandished at a female driver during a confrontation in Kitchener Tuesday morning.
Police said the incident happened around 7:25 a.m. in the area of Otonabee Drive and Bleams Road.
According to investigators, a female driver was followed by a grey four-door sedan while driving in the area. When she parked in a lot on Otonabee Drive, the male driver of the sedan exited his vehicle, approached the victim’s passenger door, and demanded she open it. He then walked around to the driver’s side, brandished a firearm, and ordered her to exit the vehicle.
According to police, the victim drove around the suspect and headed toward Bleams Road. She was then pursued by the suspect in the same sedan.
The suspect was last seen turning onto Bleams Road.
He is described as a white male, approximately 5’7” tall, with a slim build and scruffy facial hair. He was wearing a grey hoodie at the time.
The suspect vehicle is described as a grey, four-door sedan with untinted windows and no front plate. Police believe it may be a 2012 to 2023 Hyundai Elantra Ultimate in cyber grey.
No injuries were reported.
