Police investigate jewellery theft in Waterloo

Waterloo Regional Police are releasing images as they investigate a theft from a jewellery store in Waterloo.

Police said an unknown suspect entered a jewellery store inside Conestoga Mall on June 2 around 5:30 p.m. and asked to view a piece of jewellery, before grabbing the jewellery and fleeing the store.

“The suspect met with a waiting vehicle outside the mall and fled southbound on Davenport Road,” police said in a news release.

The suspect is described as a White male, approximately 5’7” to 5’9” tall, with a heavy build, and wearing a light grey sweater over a white t-shirt, light grey sweatpants, a black baseball cap, and black shoes.

The suspect vehicle is described as a black Volkswagen Jetta.

Police included an image of the suspect and the vehicle.
