The Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) is investigating a collision in Kitchener.

In a post to X at 1:18 p.m. Saturday, police said officers were at the scene of a single motor vehicle collision on Fischer-Hallman Road, near Greenbrook Drive.

Police said the vehicle struck a hydro pole. The driver was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to Enova Power Corp., the crash caused a power outage in the Forest Heights/Westheights area but has since been restored.

The northbound lanes on Fischer-Hallman Road between Ottawa Street South and Greenbrook Drive were closed for several hours. They reopened Sunday morning.
