Waterloo Regional Police are investigating after a home was broken into on Saturday.
Police said an unknown number of suspects entered a home in the area of Deer Ridge Drive and Fall Harvest Drive and reportedly stole personal items.
Investigators are asking residents to check their security cameras for “any suspicious persons or vehicles in the neighbourhood between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.”
Police shared the following safety measures to help homeowners prevent break-and-enters:

- Ensure valuables are secured in a locked location, such as a safe.
- Consider installing a surveillance/security system, which can remotely monitor the front, rear, and inside of the residence.
- Keep some lighting on when leaving the residence unoccupied.
- Report any suspicious activity or individuals to police immediately.
