Police in Waterloo are looking for a man who was reportedly dragged by a vehicle and then robbed. On Saturday around 7:10 p.m., police were told a man was hiding in the trees along Meaford Drive and Chelford Crescent. A witness said they saw the shirtless man crawling across a front lawn, and he told them he had just been robbed and was looking for his missing belongings. He then took off. “Through the investigation, officers determined that the victim had been dragged by a white four-door hatchback on Meaford Drive,” a Waterloo Regional Police Service news release published on Monday said. “During the incident, an unknown suspect exited the vehicle and stole the victim’s backpack and sweater while an altercation was taking place.” The victim has been described as a white man between 35 and 40-years-old with a heavy build. He wore a brown hoodie, blue jeans and white and dark blue shoes.
