Police release security footage of Sunday shooting in Waterloo

Shocking new footage has been released by regional police of an early Sunday morning shooting. CTV's Leighanne Evans has the details.

The Waterloo Regional Police Service has released security video of Sunday night’s shooting in Waterloo.

Police said an unknown number of people, in black-coloured vehicles, shot at each other near the intersection of Bridgeport Road East and Weber Street North around 1:50 a.m.

Gunfire could be heard in the video released by police.

Investigators believe at least one person was hurt and they’re working to find them.

In the video, four other light-coloured vehicles could be seen driving away as the shots rang out. Police want to speak to those witnesses.

Anyone with information related to the shooting is being asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
