Police release suspect images in alleged attempted jewelry store robbery in Brantford

The Brantford Police Service is trying to identify five suspects who were believed to be involved in an attempted jewelry store robbery.

The incident happened on March 1, at around 3:30 p.m., at a store on Lynden Road.

According to police, five people wearing masks and dressed all in black tried to enter the store by smashing the front window.

When they were unsuccessful, the suspects fled the scene.

Police said there were employees and customers in the store at the time, but no physical injuries were reported.

On Monday, images of the suspects were released to the public.

They are described as:

Suspect #1: Male, Black, approximately 17 to 22 years old, wearing a black hoodie and a face covering

Suspect #2: Male, Black, approximately 17-22 years old, between 5’11”- 6’2” tall, wearing a black jacket, balaclava and sunglasses

Suspect #3: Male, Black, approximately 17-22 years old, between 5’8”- 5’11” tall, wearing a black hoodie and balaclava

Suspect #4: Male or female, Black, approximately 17-22 years old, wearing a black hoodie and balaclava

Suspect #5: Dressed all in black clothing

Anyone with more information on the attempted robbery is urged to contact police.
