Police seek occupants of vehicle as part of well-being check investigation

Waterloo Regional Police are asking for the public’s help as officers investigate an incident connected to a well-being check and attempt to locate the occupants of a vehicle that may have information relevant to the case.

In a public appeal issued Sunday, police said investigators are looking to speak with the driver and occupants of a vehicle in relation to an ongoing well-being check in Kitchener.

Police have not disclosed when the incident occurred, nor have they provided a description of the vehicle involved. They have, however, released a photo which shows the vehicle officers are attempting to identify.

“This does appear to be an isolated incident and investigators believe the individuals are known to each other,” Const. Chris Iden stated in an email to CTV News. “The posted picture is all we have at this time for vehicle description, and the incident was first reported in the area of King Street East and Stonegate Drive in Kitchener.”

Authorities are urging anyone who recognizes the vehicle or knows the identities of the individuals connected to it to contact 911 immediately.

The investigation remains ongoing.
