Environment Canada is predicting severe thunderstorms in parts of the province. They issued a yellow warning on Monday for Stratford, St. Marys, Mitchell and all areas between Wingham and London. Surrounding communities were under a yellow watch alert, including Drumbo, Woodstock, Listowel, Ingersoll and as far south as Windsor. “Conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts, large hail and torrential rain,” the agency said. Winds could reach 90 to 110 km/h, while the total rainfall could exceed 50 mm. “Thunderstorms over Lake Huron will continue to move southeastwards and affect the area [Monday] afternoon and evening,” Environment Canada wrote.
