Three men arrested after year-long human trafficking investigation

Three men are facing human trafficking charges following a year-long Waterloo Regional Police investigation.

In April 2024, officers began an investigation into the alleged human trafficking of adult women in the Waterloo Region.

As a result, two 36-year-old men and a 50-year-old man were charged with multiple offences including:

  • Human trafficking
  • Receiving material benefit
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Exercise control, direction or influence
  • Advertise sexual services
  • Money laundering
  • Utter death threats

The accused were held in police custody for a bail hearing.
