Three people facing drug trafficking and weapons charges after search of Kitchener home

The Waterloo Regional Police have charged three people as part of an investigation into drugs and firearms in Kitchener.

Officers searched a home in the King Street East and Stirling Avenue North area on Wednesday and found a loaded shotgun, an imitation handgun, a conducted energy weapon, a machete and other weapons. They also seized suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl and hydromorphone.

A 23-year-old man and a 44-year-old man, both from Kitchener, were arrested along with a 35-year-old woman.

All three people have been charged with six counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, unauthorized possession of a firearm, careless storage of a firearm, careless storage of ammunition, unlawful possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
