Ontario Provincial Police are investigating the death of a female who was found unresponsive Saturday at the scene of a single-vehicle crash south of London.
Emergency crews responded around 5:30 a.m. to a collision on Jubilee Road near Dodem Way, on Munsee-Delaware Nation. The victim was transported to hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Police said two men fled the scene of the crash and were later involved in a string of vehicle thefts and collisions across multiple neighbouring counties.
One was arrested nearby, while the other was later found in Brant County following two more collisions and a short foot pursuit.
The second suspect was taken into custody with the help of OPP and the Brantford Police canine and emergency response teams.
No injuries were reported.
Both males remain in custody and are scheduled to appear in a London court.
The investigation into the female’s death continues under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, with support from the Chief Coroner’s Office and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
