Two drivers are seriously injured after a crash just outside of Alma in Mapleton Township, Ont. Thursday morning.
In a release, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said first responders were called to Wellington Road 17, between Wellington Road 8 and Third Line West for a reported two vehicle crash at around 6:30 a.m. OPP said that one driver was ejected from their vehicle.
Both drivers were sent to a trauma centre for serious injuries.
The OPP said Wellington Road 17 was closed between Wellington Road 8 and Third Line West. They said it was expected to be closed for several hours to keep the first responders safe and to continue investigating.
Roads have since reopened, according to the OPP in an update.
