A 34-year-old Fergus resident is facing charges after almost $85,000 worth of illegal drugs was seized, according to Ontario Provincial Police.
On Wednesday, at 4:45 p.m., OPP conducted a traffic stop on 5th Line within Guelph-Eramosa Township after an extensive criminal investigation. Police said one person was taken into custody without incident. Police seized a suspected cocaine, methamphetamine and other offence-related property.
The next day, OPP executed a search warrant on Argyll Street in the Town of Fergus and seized suspected methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), and other offence-related property.
Police said the street value of the drugs is around $85,000 and the other property has an estimated value of $4,000.
The man has been charged with three counts of possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking.
