A Guelph man is facing drug-related charges after police found two people unconscious inside a vehicle in a commercial parking lot Tuesday morning. Guelph police said officers were called to the parking lot on Stone Road West around 7:30 a.m. for a report of two people who appeared to be passed out inside a vehicle. When officers arrived, they found a man in the passenger seat with a glass pipe and lighter in his lap. Police searched the vehicle and say they found about 30 empty baggies, a case containing suspected cocaine, a vial of suspected fentanyl and two contaminated digital scales. A 38-year-old Guelph man has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking. He is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 9.
