A Guelph man was charged with impaired and dangerous driving following back-to-back road rage incidents. On Monday, around 10 p.m., a woman called Guelph Police about a driver who had cut her off in traffic. She said the man then approached her vehicle, swore at her and broke her side mirror. The woman then decided to follow him to a plaza on Kortright Road West where, she told police, the man reversed his vehicle into her car at a high rate of speed. “Officers located the suspect a few minutes later at his address and noted he had alcohol on his breath and difficulty following simple commands,” police said in a media release. “He was arrested and transported to the police station, where tests confirmed he had more than the legal amount of alcohol in his system.” The 32-year-old was charged with impaired driving, dangerous driving and mischief under $5,000. Police said his licence was also suspended for 90 days, while his vehicle was impounded for seven days.
