Second arrest made in Guelph teen assault

A 15-year-old boy from Guelph is the second teen to be arrested by the Guelph Police Service after another boy was assaulted last month.

On Oct. 9 around 7:45 p.m., police say several teens were at a school on Scottsdale Drive when one boy was hit in the back of the head and knocked to the ground.

Police say three males repeatedly kicked the boy in the head and torso while he was down, chipping his tooth among other injuries.

The boy’s hoodie was torn and his vape was stolen.

A 15-year-old Guelph boy was previously arrested for assault causing bodily harm and mischief under $5,000.

On Monday, a second 15 year-old was arrested on the same charges.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
