Thief rides minibike out of store: Guelph Police

The Guelph Police Service is investigating after they say a thief stole his own getaway vehicle Monday evening.

Police got a call around 6:30 p.m. from a business near Woodlawn Road West and Silvercreek Parkway North.

“A man had entered the store, got on an electric minibike and rode it out the front doors,” police said in a media release. “The bike was described as a black and red Kandi Trail King child-size minibike valued at $1,000.”

The suspect is described as white, 5’9”, wearing a red flannel shirt or jacket, dark coloured vest, grey and black winter hat with ear flaps and a backpack with a helmet hanging from it.
