Alexei Medvedev made two breakaway saves early in the game Friday night and stayed perfect the rest of the way as the London Knights blanked Guelph 6-0 at Canada Life Place.

It was the second career shutout for Medvedev, who stopped 32 shots in total as his club regained first place overall in the Ontario Hockey League standings.

Landon Sim scored twice for London, while Sam Dickinson added a goal and an assist.

Easton Cowan extended his point streak to 59 consecutive regular season games, and Blake Montgomery pushed his to 11 straight games.

London now sits two points ahead of the Windsor Spitfires, and three in front of Midwest Division rival Kitchener.

Saturday is a day off for the Knights, who return home Sunday afternoon to play Sudbury at 2 p.m.
