Another TVDSB employee taking leave of absence

Another high-profile employee at the Thames Valley District School Board has taken a leave of absence.

The board told CTV London that lawyer Ali Chahbar temporarily stepped down from his position with pay on Monday.

Chahbar also serves as Chair of the London Police Services Board.

This comes after Board Chair Beth Mai announced last week she was also taking a leave for health reasons.

The province is conducting a financial audit of the board following spending scandals.
