A London man has been charged after police responded to a fire and break and enter in the city’s north end Monday night.
London police arrived at a business in the area of Fanshawe Park Road West and Dalmagarry Road just before 11:30 p.m., where firefighters were already trying to put out the blaze.
According to police, a suspect was seen on surveillance video starting the fire and leaving the area on foot.
As officers were searching for the suspect, they were called to a a break and enter around 1 a.m. Tuesday at a business a short distance away from the fire call.

The suspect was arrested shortly after. Police say they were found in possession of the stolen items along with evidence in relation to the fire.
A 32-year-old man was charged with break, enter, and theft, and arson causing damage to property.
The damage to the business is estimated at about $30,000.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court.
