Blaze destroys London ATM

An ATM has been destroyed during a blaze at a bank branch in northwest London.

An ATM has been destroyed during a blaze at a bank branch in northwest London.

London firefighters were called to the Bank of Montreal at 1285 Fanshawe Park Road W. at 11:30 p.m. Monday.

The fire was quickly contained, but only charred metal remains of the bank machine.

There is also some damage to the inside of the branch.

The bank was closed Tuesday as security guards, restoration crews, and staff worked to secure the building.

The London Police Street Crime Team is investigating the incident, but a media spokesperson offered no further details.

Fire crews left the scene around 1:30 a.m.

A cause has yet to be released.
