Calmer conditions Sunday ahead of rollercoaster week of temps

The watches and warnings that came with Saturday’s snowy weather have ended, with calmer conditions expected in Sunday’s forecast.

Gusty winds of about 40 km/h are making things feel colder, with a high of minus 7 Sunday feeling more like minus 12 in the afternoon.

Partly cloudy conditions expected Sunday night, feeling like minus 16 overnight.

The week ahead sees some fluctuating temperatures. While Monday’s forecast high is plus 2 degrees, it will feel like minus 16 in the morning. Warming up a bit Tuesday with a high of plus 5 degrees. Come Wednesday, an unseasonal 12 degrees is expected before it drops right down again Thursday to a high of zero.

Sunday night: Partly cloudy. Wind up to 15 km/h. Low minus 11. Wind chill near minus 16.

Monday: Sunny. Becoming a mix of sun and cloud near noon. Wind becoming southwest 20 km/h gusting to 40 near noon. High plus 2. Wind chill minus 16 in the morning.

Tuesday: Cloudy with 60 per cent chance of showers. High plus 5.

Wednesday: Periods of rain. High 12.

Thursday: Flurries. Windy. High zero.

Friday: Cloudy. High plus 1.
