Inaugural chief's gala brings in $200,000

Members of the London Police Service board said the chief’s first-ever gala was a success.

They say the sold-out event raised $200,000 — split between the Canadian Mental Health Association and Youth Opportunities Unlimited.

About 1,200 people were at the London Convention Centre in late January event, with speeches from Premier Doug ford, officers and Chief Thai Truong himself.
