The 23-year-old man convicted in the bush party shooting of a teenager was back in court again on Monday, this time pleading guilty to a weapons offence.

Carlos Guerra Guerra appeared to be calm as stood up and pleaded guilty to a single charge of possession of a restricted firearm, namely a handgun.

The court heard that in July of 2021 Guerra Guerra had the firearms in a pillowcase at his father’s apartment.

In a video seized by police, he is seen with a handgun along with another man.

Earlier this month Guerra Guerra was found guilty of second degree murder in connection with the shooting death of 18 year old Josue Silva, who had been partying with a bunch of friends in a wooded lot off of Pack Road in southwest London in July 2021.

Guerra Guerra was also convicted of assault with a weapon in connection with an attack on another teen at the party.

In that case Guerra Guerra is expected to be sentenced on March 31, however, no date has been set for sentencing on the weapons plea.

Guerra Guerra’s still faces two other charges that need to be dealt with by the courts. He’s also charged with one count of obstructing justice and one count of intimidating justice system participants.
