Dog attack leads to life-altering injuries in West Grey

A resident of West Grey suffered serious, life-altering injuries after a pack of dogs attacked him, according to police.

The incident happened on Jan. 1 on the Glenelg Holland Towline.

Police say the victim was jogging when he was attacked by approximately five to 10 dogs.

A passerby in a vehicle was able to help the victim and transported him to hospital.

A joint investigation by West Grey police, Grey Bruce Public Health, and West Grey Animal Services has led to charges for a 69-year-old woman. She was arrested Tuesday on one charge of criminal negligence causing bodily harm.

According to police, the victim is still receiving treatment for his injuries.
