For the second day in a row North Perth firefighters awoke to a farm related emergency.
On Wednesday morning just before 5:30 a.m. firefighters from Listowel, Atwood, and Monkton were called to a drive-in shed fire east of Listowel along Highway 86.
A section of Highway 86 between Perth Road 140 and 146 was closed for most of the morning as crews shuttled water to the scene.
The drive-in shed was destroyed, as were all the contents inside.

No one was injured. The cause is yet undetermined but isn’t considered suspicious.
On Tuesday morning North Perth firefighters were called to a barn roof collapse northeast of Listowel that injured one person. That afternoon, Listowel firefighters provided mutual aid to a chicken barn fire near Moorefield.
In a Facebook post this afternoon North Perth Fire Chief Janny Pape thanked neighbouring fire departments for their help the past two days, and the Listowel Tim Horton’s for feeding and hydrating firefighters this morning.
