Driver charged after pedestrian struck by vehicle in Walkerton

South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police officers say a driver has been charged after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Walkerton.

On Wednesday at 12:16 p.m., the OPP and Bruce County Paramedic Services responded to a collision involving a pedestrian at Durham Street East and Colborne Street South in the Municipality of Brockton.

A 64-year-old pedestrian was struck by a passenger vehicle while crossing the road. They were transported to a local area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver, a 27-year-old resident of Brockton, has been charged with careless driving causing bodily harm.
