Early morning kitchen fire doused in London

Damage is estimated at $50,000 after a kitchen fire in a London, Ont. highrise.

Crews responded around 3:10 am. on Thursday.

When they arrived, they found smoke in the hallway on the first floor.

The fire was quickly extinguished and smoke was cleared from the affected unit , hallways and staircase of the building.

One person was assessed by EMS.
