Five-vehicle crash causes major delays on Highway 401 near Woodstock

Significant backups were reported eastbound on Highway 401 near Woodstock after a multi-vehicle crash on Wednesday morning.

According to OPP, the five-vehicle crash happened near Sweaburg Road between four passenger vehicles and one transport truck.

No serious injuries have been reported and for some time only one lane of traffic remained open, slowing down drivers.

Police also report that roads are slippery and are asking drivers to drive with care.

All lanes have since reopened.
