The shakeup at Thames Valley District School Board continues, as two officials have officially departed from the leadership team.

On Tuesday, the Board of Trustees officially accepted the resignation of former Director of Education Mark Fisher effective immediately.

Fisher initially took a leave of absence in September following a wave of controversy regarding a leadership retreat in Toronto, which cost the school board nearly $40,000 - an upsetting figure in the face of a $1.9 million deficit for 2024-25.

Associate Director Linda Nicholls was also confirmed to no longer be employed by TVDSB, effective Thursday.

The departures take place in the wake of a series of leaves announced earlier this week - with lawyer Ali Chahbar temporarily stepping down from his position with pay on Monday, and Board Chair Beth Mai announcing late last week that she was also taking a leave for health reasons.
