Heat-related hydro outage affects thousands of Londoners on Sunday

Hydro has been restored to thousands of customers in London.

Relief from the hydro outage was estimated to arrive by 5:00 p.m. on Sunday - most power was restored around that time with fewer than 50 customers still without power around 7:30 p.m.

According to London Hydro, the affected customers were mostly in Central London, Masonville, Medway, Sunningdale, Oakridge and west London.

The cause of the outage appears to be heat related and caused equipment malfunction. Both London Hydro and Hydro One are working to resolve the issue.
