Lambton College has been given funding to launch its Artificial Intelligence for Advanced Manufacturing (AI4AM) Development Site, helping to speed up AI adoption in advanced manufacturing in Ontario.
Sarnia was granted the site from the Ontario Centre of Innovation (OCI), which announced 10 new Technology Development Sites across the province.
According to a news release, Lambton will now play a key role in offering AI expertise and supporting Ontario manufacturers.
“As a recognized leader in applied research and innovation, Lambton College is proud to contribute to the CIT network and Ontario’s vision of technology-driven economic growth,” said Dr. Mehdi Sheikhzadeh, senior vice president of research and innovation at the college.
“Through AI4AM, we are equipping small-and-medium-sized enterprises with cutting-edge AI tools and expertise, while enabling innovation that drives sustainability, resilience, and economic growth across the province.”
This new development sites is one of the only dedicated to AI, offering advanced manufacturing companies across Ontario access to specialized support in Machine Learning, Predictive Analytics, and Computer Vision.
