Three London Landmarks are lit up tonight – in honour of Rare Disease Day.

The campaign is meant to raise awareness and generate change for the 300 million people worldwide living with rare diseases.

A disease is considered rare when it affects fewer than one in two thousand people.

Canada is among the 106 countries involved in the “Global Chain of Lights.”

Though Rare Disease Day is community-led, everyone can participate in raising awareness and taking action for this vulnerable population who require immediate and urgent attention.
