Huron Perth Public Health has issued a notice of measles exposure to the community - the most recent in over two dozen reported exposures that the health unit has made the public aware of.

According to public health officials, the latest reported exposure took place at Cambria Professional Centre, 386 Cambria Street in Stratford on Wed. April 16, 2025 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Anyone that was present in the location during that window who is at risk is asked to contact public health at 1-888-221-2133 ext. 3299

You are at risk if you are under or unvaccinated, or if yourself or a household member has compromised immunity, are pregnant, or less than 12 months old.

Measles can linger in the air for up to two hours, so even if you were only present at the location briefly, it’s important that you monitor for symptoms.

Additionally, Grey Bruce Public Health (GBPH) has confirmed a case of measles was present at Brightshores Health System’s Owen Sound Hospital between 4:40 p.m. on April 20, 2025, and 10:35 a.m. on April 21, 2025.
