CTV London Meteorologist Julie Atchison has the details on your Wednesday evening forecast.

A wild Wednesday, weather wise, across the region. It was a springlike day with temps reaching the double digits, and lots of rain earlier in the day. However, that’s about to change.

“A strong area of low pressure is moving through the Great Lakes,” said CTV London Meteorologist Julie Atchison. “Heading into [Wednesday] night, temperatures will be dropping.”

A special weather statement is in effect due to the potential for localized flooding in low-lying areas thanks to melting snow combined with heavy rainfall.

Additionally, a travel advisory is in effect. A drop in temperature overnight could cause for some icy roadways and hazardous driving conditions.

Atchison warns you could see some more snow Thursday as well, “The bulk of the snow will be over by noon hour as we head into Thursday … anywhere from two to four centimeters.”

Conditions start to improve again heading into the weekend.
