Milder temperatures in the forecast for London

CTV London Meteorologist Julie Atchison brings you the latest weather update.

Milder temperatures overnight will hover near freezing heading towards Wednesday morning.

Temperatures will climb, so overnight lows bottoming out near -1C just after midnight in London, but climbing to a 0 to 1C first thing in the morning.

Overcast conditions to start the day and as head into the afternoon, the region could see some peaks of sunshine.

In the forecast, high breaks of sunshine and 4C tracking the next system that will bring some periods of rain into the area on Thursday.

It looks like the bulk of that moisture should hold off until Thursday afternoon, so there’s a weak front coming through Wednesday.

“We could see some patchy freezing drizzle as the day moves through, but it will be quite brief. It’s the cold front that will cross in the afternoon,” said CTV London meteorologist Julie Atchison.

The winds will shift northwest, and there will be a bit of a change, but other than just some cloud cover moving into the area, Atchison is not expecting a whole lot out of the weak front Wednesday.

It will be Thursday when the moisture comes in from the south and 6C and then -1C with flurries and gusty winds on a Friday chance for flurries on Saturday.

Temperature holding steady at the freezing mark through the weekend and early next week.
