Marit Stiles was in London North Centre Tuesday afternoon to speak to NDP faithful.
A crowd of campaigners and supporters cheered her on as she criticized Doug Ford’s visit to Washington the same afternoon.
She also slammed Ford for calling an early election saying, “When he called this election, Doug Ford quit his job as premier.”
She also called out his lack of representation for workers the last time U.S. President Donald Trump imposed tariffs on Canada.
Following Stiles’ speeches to supporters at Terence Kernaghan’s office, the two canvassed Lorne Avenue to meet with neighbours and gain support for the party.

In her earlier talk, Stiles said that she sees London as an NDP city and trusts local politicians to maintain their ridings while she intends to campaign heavily in Conservative strongholds.
She stated that, “Absolutely central to that plan to flip this whole province from blue to orange is to hold our seats here in London.”
