One charged, one flees scene of Norfolk hospital B&E

One person has been charged following a theft investigation at Norfolk General Hospital.

Police say that just before 3:20 a.m. Wednesday they were called to the hospital for reports of a break and enter in progress.

Two people entered the property, targeting an outbuilding which they entered and attempted to steal items.

Officers found and arrested one suspect nearby on Elgin Ave., the second suspect fled on foot.

The suspect was wearing a multi-coloured bomber-style jacket.

A 48-year-old man faces charges related to the theft and break and enter.

Police continue to investigate the incident, anyone with information is asked to contact Norfolk OPP.
