Fire crews were called to a scene near the intersection of Ridout and Horton streets for reports of a person in the Thames River on Saturday morning.
London fire say that one person was recovered and placed in the care of Middlesex London Paramedic Services.
Police confirmed that they recovered a body from the river. The person was transported to hospital and declared dead.
