Overcast skies tonight, with climbing humidity making this weekend feel warmer

CTV London Meteorologist Julie Atchison gives you her weather forecast heading toward the first long weekend of the summer season.

Overcast skies will be hanging around into the evening on Wednesday, but damper conditions will not be returning to the Forest City.

The rain looks likely to hold off tonight, “those ball games and the soccer games will be a go as we head through the late evening,” assured CTV London Meteorologist Julie Atchison.

Warmer air is expected to hover over the region, keeping the temperatures in the teens overnight.

“Winds continuing out of the east and southeast as we head out 36 hours,” said Atchison. “For your Thursday expecting a little bit of cloud cover, however, I’m tracking this front that will blow through Thursday night into early Friday morning.”

Mainly cloudy conditions with sunny breaks are expected throughout the day on Thursday, with a 30 per cent chance of showers, and higher humidity in the afternoon making the air feel like it’s in the upper twenties.

“That humidity will make it feel a lot warmer Friday,” said Atchison. “[I’m] expecting a mix of sun and cloud, it is going to be a hot one.”

Chance of rain will roll through on Friday evening, with temperatures falling off slightly on Saturday.
