Apparently, there are some limitations when it comes to delivering the mail, “neither snow, nor rain…”
Canada Post has taken the rare step of suspending mail delivery in Owen Sound due to the “extreme winter conditions.”
Owen Sound has seen a constant barrage of snowsqualls and blowing snow this week, to go along with frigid temperatures near minus 30.
Canada Post’s “red delivery notice” was posted on their website Wednesday afternoon.
It states that a red alert means Canada Post is “suspending delivery, or not sending our delivery agents out or recalling them.”
The crown corporation says delivery will resume when it safe to do so.
