Pedestrian dies after being struck by train in Woodstock

The Woodstock Police Service has confirmed a pedestrian is dead after being hit by a train on Friday.

Around 11:30 a.m., emergency services responded to the serious incident on Wilson Street, just south of Hounsfield Street.

Wilson Street remained closed for several hours while officers investigated, but has since reopened.

The investigation is ongoing, and no further updates will be provided at this time.
