Person arrested for Ingersoll robbery

Police have made an arrest in connection to their investigation into a robbery in Ingersoll.

Oxford OPP attended an address on Thames Street South around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.

According to police, someone has entered the property with what appeared to be a firearm and left with an undisclosed amount of money. They were seen leaving the area in a red mid-2000s Volkswagen Beetle.

A 31-year-old Ingersoll man has been charged with armed robbery, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose, disguise with intent, and taking a motor vehicle without consent.

He has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for later this month.

The investigation remains ongoing.
